In comparison to passive controls, CogState card identification (attention) ( P =0.02) and the BRIEF global executive index improved one year after training ( P =0.01). Alone the KABC-II concept thinking (both full- and limited-CCRT; P =0.01), CogState Groton maze chase and acquisition ( P =0.01), and CogState card recognition ( P =0.05, full-CCRT only) tests significantly improved for non-malaria children undergoing CCRT , Due to the increased repetition and practice on pertinent training in the absence of performance titration for full CCRT, restricted CCRT for severe malaria survivors enhanced attention and memory outcomes far beyond full CCRT.
